How to get help
Email [email protected]. Tell us what iPhone and iOS version you’re on and what you were trying to do, and we’ll get back to you. There’s no account and no ticket portal, only email.
Getting started
- Use a physical iPhone. Stop That relies on Apple’s Screen Time, which doesn’t work in the Simulator or in setups without a real device. Install it on an actual iPhone.
- Grant the Screen Time permission. On first run, iOS asks you to allow Screen Time (Family Controls). Stop That needs this to heckle and shield apps. Without it, nothing gets blocked.
- Pick the apps to block. Use Apple’s app picker to choose what you want Stop That to guard. (We never see which apps you pick. See the Privacy Policy.)
- Subscribe. Choose the weekly or yearly plan to turn on enforcement.
- Tap Start Watching. From then on, Stop That heckles you when you open a chosen app and shields it if you keep going.
Common questions
The heckles aren’t playing
Heckle audio is opt-in. Turn it on in the app’s settings. It also respects the silent switch: if your iPhone is on silent, the heckle sound stays silent too. Flip the ringer on (or toggle the sound setting) and check that notifications are allowed for Stop That.
The shield isn’t appearing
Make sure the Screen Time permission is granted (Settings → Screen Time), that the app you expected is in your blocked selection, and that your subscription is active. If enforcement was never started, tap Start Watching. If it still won’t appear, restarting your iPhone gives iOS’s Screen Time system a clean start.
How do I turn blocking off?
Tap Stop Everything in the app. After a short typed confession, it lifts every shield and stops all monitoring in one go. There’s no Screen Time passcode to remember. You are always free to undo it yourself.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Your subscription is billed by Apple, so you manage it through the App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then choose Stop That to change or cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you’ve paid for ends. Refunds are handled by Apple, not us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through your App Store account. Note that deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
I reinstalled or got a new iPhone
Sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases in the app to re-activate your subscription.
